Alt.Form’s Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) methodology provides a platform for rapid, high-performance construction at scale—without compromising quality.
Every Alt.Form project will benefit from a systemised backbone that reduces manual labour and accelerates installation and delivery on-site.
All components are manufactured offsite in a factory where quality is maintained better than on-site. Structural steel, cladding, panels, pre-installed windows, and flashings are delivered with full documentation.
This allows for rapid on-site installation with no wet trades.
Alt.Form’s build program achieves a timeframe reduction of more than 60%.
BONES
The bones are Alt.Form’s structural steel and prefabricated frame system. Designed on a universal 260mm grid, they create the strength and precision needed for rapid assembly. This skeletal framework is lightweight yet robust, engineered to exceed Australian Standards, and forms the foundation for long-lasting, resilient buildings that can scale from a single cabin to a multi-residential development.
SKIN
Alt.Form’s skin is the protective outer layer — precision-manufactured façade panels that define the character of each home. These panels are adaptable in finish and colour, balancing durability with design flexibility. They provide high thermal performance, airtightness, and weather resistance while allowing architects and clients to choose the aesthetic that best suits the project.
